Improving the appearance of the major thoroughfares into the community has been a standing priority for Operation P.R.I.D.E from the very beginning.
Welcome signs have been erected, a new sign ordinance has been adopted, and trees have been planted. All of these successes have had positive impacts on these corridors. The mission of this project is to develop a corridor which is aesthetically pleasing, increases property values of both business and home owners, and provides safe and pleasant travel. ![]() There are seven major corridors, and committees have been created to oversee each corridor plan. Through a series of committee meetings, participants concluded that the primary focus should be on how to more effectively manage the mowing of the rights of way. Representatives from The Department of Highways, Warren County and Operation P.R.I.D.E. are working together to identify a lasting solution. Operation P.R.I.D.E. is currently raising the funds to purchase the mowing equipment which will be needed to accomplish this.
