Greetings, fellow Corvette enthusiasts! We would like to thank everyone for the tremendous response we get towards the Vette Chat website. Time and time again we receive email and guestbook entries expressing gratitude for having a place on the World Wide Web where corvette lovers all over the world can come and talk. Many of you have signed the guestbook with suggestions on what you would like to see added to the website and we have several ideas of our own. Some improvements we have discussed with some of you involves creating a library of picture icons on the webchat that chatters can use by their name, as well as giving chatters the ability to upload their own picture to our server free of charge. We would also like to extend the user profiles to include individual bio info (optional) so that chatters can find out a little more about one another more easily. Adding the ability to BLOCK messages from specific users is a high priority to many people. Since not everyone can be on the chat all the time, we plan to integrate a message board with the chat so that you can leave messages for individuals or to the general public. The KIWI staff tries to help maintain order and ensure that the chat is functioning properly, but it is not possible for us to be watching 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; to address this, we would like to be able to give select chatters the ability to reset the chat or boot troublemakers. Overall design and layout improvements are also on the list. We are anxious to respond to these requests! However, to be honest, funding to maintain the website is non-existant. KIWI has donated 100% of the time and money to develop and host this chat room over the past few years. In order to maintain the webchat and to make the improvements to the website that need to be made, we need your help. So many of you have expressed to us how much you value this site. Now we are asking for your support.
